Poplar fluff

The Department of State Fire Control of the Emergency Situations Department of the city of Ekibastuz informs that with the onset of summer, the situation with fires is escalating in the city. Poplar fluff is particularly dangerous, which accumulates near buildings, warehouses, containers and timber, in courtyards near parking lots of vehicles, serves as food for fire.

The source of ignition can be an unopened cigarette butt or a match, fire work or just a child's prank, for which burning poplar fluff is a favorite pastime, after which you have to call firefighters.

In a strong wind, the fluff flies even at the height of the twelfth floor, getting into all sorts of cracks. It should be remembered that any spark and fluff flares up like gunpowder and overnight can turn into a "bickford cord", through which the fire will safely reach buildings and structures.

During this fire-hazardous period, the following fire safety rules must be especially strictly observed:

- Places where fluff accumulates, especially near wooden buildings, should be regularly cleaned and watered with water, children and teenagers should not be allowed to set it on fire.

- Enterprises and institutions should establish control over the smoking regime;

- Categorically prohibit the building of bonfires and the burning of garbage;

- Carefully prepare for welding and other fire work;

- Install water barrels on the territory, sewn with a set of primary fire extinguishing means (fire extinguishers, sand, hooks, shovels, etc.), use fire-fighting water pipes;

- Conduct additional briefings on fire safety measures. To prevent fires, residents and organizations of the city are recommended to organize daily cleaning, cleaning and watering of courtyards, sidewalks, roads and places where this natural material accumulates. To stop any games of teenagers and children associated with setting fire to fluff.

Not only firefighters have to fight poplar fluff, but also ordinary janitors. As practice shows, cleaning fluff is not an easy task.

Compliance with these simple rules will prevent a fire, which is always easier to prevent than to extinguish.
