Attention household gas!

Household gas is an important raw material resource in human life. Gas is used in heating system organizations, in cooking, in engines.

To date, there are two main types of gas used in domestic conditions: natural, liquefied.

It must be remembered that the gas used in everyday life is explosive and flammable!

Liquefied gas is twice as heavy as air and, when leaking, primarily fills basements, subfloors, underground utilities and can spread over long distances. In combination with air, the gas forms an explosive mixture. With incomplete combustion of gas, carbon monoxide is released (a gas without color and odor), from which suffocation with a fatal outcome is possible.

An impressive part of household gas explosions and fires in residential buildings are the result of neglect of safety, ignorance of the rules for using gas and negligence in handling liquefied gas cylinders.

In order to avoid explosions of household gas and fires from the use of liquefied gas, remember the following rules:

- It is necessary to store the cylinder with liquefied gas exclusively in an upright position in a ventilated room;

- Spare refilled and empty gas cylinders cannot be stored even temporarily in a residential area, as well as on evacuation passages in case of fire.

- In one room, you can keep only one cylinder with gas up to 55 liters or two no more than 27 liters. Inside the house, the gas cylinder is located 1 meter from the stove, at least 1 meter from the heating batteries and at least two meters from the stove door;

- Before replacing the gas cylinder, make sure that the valves of the full spent cylinders are tightly closed. After replacement, for greater safety, apply a soap solution to all the joints and make sure they are tight.

- Do not replace the gas cylinder if there is a flame in the room and electrical appliances are switched on;

- When you finish working with the gas, do not forget to close the cylinder tap.

We remind you that violation of the rules for using gas can lead to an explosion of household gas, which entails the collapse of part or the entire building, fires, serious injuries and death of people.
