In order to prevent fires during the fire-hazardous period, as well as to stabilize the situation with fires in the residential sector, employees of the Department of Emergency Situations of Atyrau region regularly conduct explanatory work with the population in the city and in all districts of the region.
Bypassing residential buildings, employees conduct conversations with residents about fire safety measures during the operation of electric heaters and household appliances, remind them of actions in case of a fire and hand over thematic memos.

- keep the internal wiring, electrical appliances and gas stoves in good condition;
- take precautions when using gas and electrical appliances;
- when leaving home, turn off all electric heating appliances;
- do not smoke in bed, especially when intoxicated;
- do not leave children, the elderly and people with disabilities alone.
If there is a fire in the house, immediately report it by calling 101.
