Firefighters continue work on extinguishing dead wood

Firefighters of the capital's emergency department continue extinguishing dead wood on an area of 80 hectares. By the forces of the units of the Emergency Department, "Astana Ormany", work is being carried out on shedding individual smoke holes inside the fire pit, plowing and constant guarding of fire sites. Since the beginning of extinguishing the fire, aviation has carried out 149 water discharges, with a volume of 447 tons.
On June 20, at 20.16, the forces and means of the emergency situations of the Karaganda and Akmola regions left for home.
Minister of Emergency Situations Syrim Sharipkhanov thanked firefighters from neighboring regions for the prompt response and assistance provided to the capital's firefighters in extinguishing the deadwood fire. In total, 34 people and 8 pieces of equipment are currently involved in extinguishing. The firefighting headquarters continues to work on site.
