Carbon monoxide is one of the most toxic components of gorenje products. Poisoning with it is one of the critical conditions of a person, which sometimes entails a fatal outcome.
Carbon monoxide has absolutely no smell, no color, no taste, carbon monoxide poisoning can occur very imperceptibly, and it is formed wherever there is a gorenje process, even in the oven. Unfortunately, its victims are often people. As a rule, carbon monoxide poisoning occurs as a result of faulty operation of the furnace heating, when a person is in the hearth of a fire, in a closed car with the engine turned on.
Carbon monoxide, or carbon monoxide, or carbon monoxide (CO), is often called the «silent killer». It is impossible to detect him «by eye», and for the victim his presence remains unnoticed. At the same time, the gas spreads quickly, mixing with the air without losing its toxic properties.
Entering the body during breathing, it penetrates from the lungs into the circulatory system, where it connects with hemoglobin. As a result, the blood loses its ability to carry and deliver oxygen to the tissues, and the body very quickly begins to lack it. First of all, the brain suffers, but other organs may also be affected, depending on the general state of health.
The first signs of carbon monoxide poisoning are deterioration of vision, hearing loss, slight pain in the forehead, dizziness, a feeling of pulsation in the temples, decreased coordination and thinking. With these sensations, you need to immediately leave the room, go out into the fresh air. First aid should be fast and qualified.
How to prevent carbon monoxide poisoning:
1.Use only proper blowing. Cracks in the stonework, a clogged chimney and similar «trifles» can lead to serious consequences.
2.Take care of good ventilation. If you use a gas stove for heating, it is quite possible to be poisoned by carbon monoxide.
If the above recommendations are followed, it is possible to exclude cases of poisoning and death of people from carbon monoxide and significantly reduce the number of household fires in the private residential sector.
Remember – carbon monoxide is insidious, it acts quickly and imperceptibly, so life and health depend on the speed of the measures taken. Take care of yourself and your loved ones!
