Rules of operation of gasified motor vehicles

A few tips for operating a car with gas equipment:

- Before starting the engine after a long parking, it is necessary to lift the hood for a few minutes to ventilate the engine compartment, check the condition of the gas equipment installed on the engine and its connections.

- Check, using a soap solution, the joints and connections in the gas equipment to make sure there is no gas leakage.

- You can start the engine on only one type of fuel: gas or gasoline. At temperatures below -10 ° C, the engine is started and warmed up on gasoline, followed by a transition to gas fuel. It is forbidden to operate the engine on a mixture of two fuels: gasoline and gas.

- Hot water or steam can be used to eliminate ice formations and traffic jams in the gas system. It is forbidden to use means of heating with an open flame.

- If the smell of gas appears while the car is moving, stop, identify the malfunction and take measures to eliminate it. Before applying the repair effects, close the gas supply flow valve on the cylinder, wait until the smell of gas disappears, and proceed to troubleshooting. If it is impossible to eliminate the gas leak, close the gas supply valve on the cylinder and temporarily switch to the "Gasoline" mode. Later, after making sure that the diagnosis you have made is correct, fix the malfunction.

Statistics show that there are slightly fewer cases of ignition of gas-cylinder cars than cars running on gasoline. Nevertheless, we will continue to acquaint the driver with possible malfunctions in the gas equipment that can lead to major troubles, and we will tell you how to prevent them.

- Connections to the elements of the power system are equipped with fastening clamps, which, if you do not pay attention to them, weaken, lose their "grip". Provide the car with reliable reusable clamps of various diameters.

- "Carefully check the condition of fuel pipelines, fittings and especially the fastening clamps!" - the first commandment for drivers going on the road
