A forest fire is not an element, but a consequence of people's carelessness
Analysis of wildfires shows that the main cause of their occurrence is a person - his negligence when using fire in the forest.
Most fires occur in places of picnics, picking mushrooms and berries, during hunting, from an abandoned burning match, an unlit cigarette. During the hunter's shot, the wad that flew out of the gun begins to smolder, setting fire to the dry grass. You can often see how littered the forest is with bottles and glass fragments. In sunny weather, these fragments focus the sun's rays as incendiary lenses. Not completely extinguished fire in the forest is the cause of subsequent major disasters. In a few minutes, fire can destroy something that has been growing for decades. As a result of fires, the protective, water protection and other useful properties of the forest are reduced.
Statistics of forest fires show that their surge is observed on weekends, when people en masse go to rest in nature.
In this regard, the Department of Emergency Situations of the Almaty region appeals to the citizens with a warning, so that no trouble happens, follow the basic rules of fire safety:
When making fires, use places away from shrubs and mown grass, coniferous young and low-hanging tree crowns.
Gasoline and other combustible mixtures should not be used to light fires.
Do not set fire to reeds, do not burn dry grass under trees, in forest clearings, in gardens, in fields.
Do not throw burning matches, cigarette butts, smoldering rags and rags.
Do not leave the fire unattended, especially in windy weather.
When leaving the forest, put out the fire: fill with water, sprinkle with earth.
If you find fires in the forest, assess the situation: if the fire is grassroots and local, you can try to extinguish the flame yourself: it can be brought down by overflowing with hardwood branches, pouring water, throwing wet soil, trampling feet. When extinguishing a fire, act carefully, do not go far from roads and glades, do not lose sight of other participants, maintain visual and audio communication with them.
If you are unable to cope with the localization and extinguishing of the fire on your own, immediately warn all nearby people about the need to get out of the danger zone. Crouching down, move away from the fire to windward, parallel to the front of the fire. Or try to get around the fire from the side to get to the rear of it.
Immediately call the fire department on 101.
The call to the emergency services is free of charge. 112 is also available for emergency calls to special services. A call from it is possible in the absence of funds in the account, with a blocked SIM card, in the absence of a phone SIM card.
