On September 17, 2021, the Department of Emergency Situations of Almaty region held a regional competition "Polyglot".

The event was held as part of the celebration of the 30th anniversary of independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan in order to implement the Goverment Program for the implementation of Language Policy in the Republic of Kazakhstan for 2020-2025, approved by the decree of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The competition was held in the format of a competition in linguistics: Kazakh, Russian and English. After all, for multinational Kazakhstan, the trinity of languages is important - it is the consolidation of society, as well as the preservation of interethnic harmony and peace. Our multinational country respects the culture and traditions of all peoples. We strive to ensure that Kazakhstan should be perceived throughout the world as a highly educated country whose population uses three languages. We employee of civil protection agencies, understand the importance of speaking several languages.

Two employees of the Department of Emergency Situations of the Almaty region competed for the championship: an engineer of the Emergency Prevention Department  lieutenant of civil protection Karakenova Madina and inspector of the Personnel Policy Department of the Goverment Institution "SP and ASR" senior lieutenant of civil protection Kerimbek Almira.

The competition consisted of two stages: 1) demonstration of a video clip on the topic: "The 30th anniversary of Independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan" and 2) demonstration of a written article on this topic published on the Department's Internet resource. The performances of the participants were evaluated by a jury from among the management and employees of the Department of Emergency Situations of the Almaty region.In the video, the contestants presented themselves, demonstrating their knowledge of different languages. The most interesting and informative speech was made by Madina Karakenova.

In the second competition, the participants had to reveal the topic: "The 30th anniversary of Independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan, to show off written literacy and the construction of sentences. And at this stage, Madina was recognized as the best .Following the results of two stages of the competition, the jury awarded the first place to Madina Karakenova, an engineer of the Emergency Prevention Department. 

The winner of the regional competition Madina Karakenova will now represent our region in the republican contest "Polyglot". The materials of the winners of the regional competition will be sent to the commission of the republican contest "Polyglot" in the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Kazakhstan, which will determine the winner.
