Fires from gas appliances

 

The main cause of these fires is gas leakage due to a violation of the tightness of pipelines, connecting nodes or through the burners of gas stoves.

Natural and liquefied balloon gas (usually a propane-butane mixture) they are capable of forming explosive mixtures with air. If you feel the smell of gas in the room, you can not light matches, lighters, turn on or off electric switches, enter the room with an open fire or with a cigarette - all this can cause a gas explosion.

Liquefied gas in contrast to the natural has more flammable properties: high turnover, fast increase of vapor pressure and specific volume of liquid and gas with increasing temperature, low concentration explosive limit, etc.

If a gas leak occurred from an open faucet on the gas appliance, it must be close to ventilate the room thoroughly and only then can you light the fire. In the event of a gas leak as a result of damage to the gas network or appliances, their use must be stopped and immediately reported to the emergency gas service.

In gasified apartments, it is recommended to ventilate the rooms in which gas stoves, meters, etc. are installed every morning.

It is strictly forbidden to use fire, to detect gas leaks from gas pipelines, cylinders and gas appliances, it is necessary to use soap solution, gas detectors.

Children and persons who are not familiar with the device of these devices should not be allowed to turn on and use gas appliances. In order to avoid accidents, it is prohibited:

- open the tap on the gas pipeline in front of the stove, without checking whether all the taps on the switchboard of the stove are closed;

- open the taps of the stove without having a lighted match or lighter in your hand;

- allow the burning burners to be filled with liquid. If this happens accidentally, it is necessary to extinguish the burner, clean it, remove the liquid from the pan;

- remove the burner and put the dishes directly on the burner;

- knock on the taps, burners with metal objects, as well as turn the handles of the taps with pliers, tongs, keys, etc.;

- independently repair the stove or gas supply pipelines;

- tie ropes to gas stoves, pipes and taps, hang laundry and other things on them.

Also, left food on the stove is a special danger. The cause of burning food is often ordinary carelessness. They put the pan on the stove and forget about it: they fall asleep from fatigue or in a state of alcoholic intoxication, and sometimes even leave the house.

      It happens that after putting food on the stove, a person can consciously go to the store to buy the missing product, in the hope that nothing will happen to the left pan during this time. Unfortunately, this is not always the case. Gases are formed from burnt food, which can lead to poisoning by gorenje products. In addition, there is a possibility that the flame flaring up on the stove, spreading, will cause a serious fire, which can not only cause the loss of material values, but also the death of people.
