The fire evacuation plan of the school is an important document for ensuring safety in an educational institution. Such documentation is developed and manufactured taking into account the requirements of state standards.
All measures for the evacuation of classes are carried out as soon as possible. Therefore, the document should be detailed and understandable for teachers and schoolchildren.
Document description:
Drawing up an evacuation plan in case of a fire for schools, higher and secondary specialized educational institutions, preschool institutions (kindergartens) is carried out according to one scheme. But there is one difference. For kindergartens, the document is drawn up exclusively for employees.
The document consists of two parts:
* graphic;
* text — in the form of explanations to the designations and necessary information.
Posting a school evacuation plan:
Schemes are developed for all floors, sections (with an area of 1000 squares or more), basements, utility rooms and attics.
On each separate diagram, the order of action of students and teachers in case of fire is indicated in accessible text and symbols.
A local schema is additionally added to each class. The document is hung next to the front door. The installation site should be well lit and visible.
The school should also take care of drawing up a general evacuation plan of the building, which is posted on the first floor. The graphic part of the document contains information about emergency exits, and the text part describes in detail the actions of students and service personnel.
The plan also contains information about the persons responsible for fire safety (names, positions).
The content of the graphic and text part
A separate document consisting of two parts is drawn up for each floor:
* Graphic. It contains the main, spare and technical exits, external stairs and stairwells. Here are the routes along which the safe evacuation takes place, the floor layout (if there are a lot of offices, they are simply numbered). The document includes symbols for the location of alarm buttons, fire extinguishing equipment, and a collection point for evacuated classes.
* Text. It contains the rules of behavior in case of an emergency (fire, smoke), the provision of first aid.
The management is also obliged to draw up an explanatory note. All class teachers, administration and technical staff should be familiar with this document.
The note contains information about the order and sequence of actions of employees of an educational institution in an emergency.
To draw up and produce the correct evacuation plan, the school can contact a specialized organization that has the necessary license of the Ministry of Emergency Situations.
