How to prevent the collapse of the roof of buildings.

The Almaty region is subject to various types of natural emergencies, one of them is hurricane winds that reach speeds of up to 40 m / s, which can cause a massive collapse of communication lines, power lines, trees and roof failure. This leads to significant material damage and disruption of the life support of the population.

To date, due to the storm wind, the roof failures of buildings have become more frequent. The cause of the wind is a continuous change in air pressure. This year, more than 22 cases of roof failure have been registered in the Almaty region. Basically, the failure of the roof takes place in buildings where the roof has not been repaired for a long time, either with the use of poor-quality roofing materials or because of an incorrect structure.

The Department of Emergency Situations of the Almaty region asks citizens to comply with the building construction standards, if necessary, replace or strengthen the roof elements, take precautions in case of dangerous meteorological phenomena, and also do not ignore incoming SMS messages about storm warnings from the 112 service.
