The villagers, who have cattle on the farmsteads, prepare hay for the upcoming wintering. But does everyone in haymaking remember about the rules of fire safety? After all, if you do not comply with the fire safety rules, all the many days of work in the hay field can go down the drain. Hay is a product of increased fire hazard and it must be preserved by all means from ignition.
According to statistics, in the summer, the most frequent fires occur due to the fault of owners of private houses who carelessly handle fire, violate fire safety rules when storing hay. It is often stored near residential buildings, baths, outbuildings, near the roadway under power lines.
In order to prevent fires during the harvesting of coarse feed at agricultural production facilities, it is necessary to carry out the following fire-fighting measures:
The head of the agricultural enterprise must appoint responsible persons for the fire-fighting preparation of harvesting machines and aggregates, the organization of fire-fighting instruction of machine operators, as well as compliance with fire safety rules during the harvesting of coarse feed;
tractor drivers, combine harvesters, their assistants and other machine operators, as well as officials involved in harvesting and forage harvesting, must undergo fire-fighting instruction according to a special program; persons allocated for harvesting work must also be instructed about the basic fire safety measures; before leaving harvesting machines and tractors on hayfields, equip them with serviceable spark extinguishers, provide vehicles equipped for the transportation of coarse feed with serviceable factory-made silencers with their output under the front buffer;
harvesting units and adapted agricultural machinery for grain harvesting and for the transportation and transportation of coarse feed should be equipped with primary fire extinguishing means (2 fire extinguishers or a container with water of at least 40 liters, 2 shovels, 2 brooms, a bag or a tarpaulin of 1. 5x1. 5 meters in size).
Haylofts should be located at a distance of at least 100 meters from buildings, highways and 30 meters from power lines, on stationary sites cleared of grass and coarse feed residues, between the stacks a distance of at least 50 meters from each other.
On the territory of haylofts, work with the use of open fire, smoking near hay and straw stacks is not allowed, it is necessary to install lightning rods, fire shields, water tanks, make a collapse of the territory.
Administrative responsibility is provided for violation of fire safety rules when storing coarse
feed. The implementation of the above measures to ensure fire safety during the forage harvesting period will help to avoid fires.
