A large-scale Action was held on the territory of the Almaty region.
The events are organized in order to prevent fires and accidents during the recreation of citizens, in nature. In general, on Saturday in the Almaty region, conversations were held with about 4,000 vacationers, with the delivery of memos with safety rules.
The action was attended by employees of civil protection agencies, representatives of the local police service, forestry, volunteers of the Red Crescent ,the Youth Wing of Zhas Otan, the rugby club, motorcyclists, cyclists and mounted patrols, in addition, a MI-2 helicopter and high-speed equipment were involved in order to detect the lighting of fires.
The Emergency Department of the Almaty region reminds the rules of safe behavior in nature:
- be very careful with the fire on your vacation in the forest;
- never set fire to dried grass in any natural area;
- do not build a fire in a dry forest or on a peat bog. Make a fire on the sand or clay, outside the forest area. Before you start a fire, remove a layer of earth with grass from the fire pit and around it within a radius of one meter;
- fill the fire well with water or throw sand or earth over it before leaving. After that, rake out the ash and make sure that there are no embers left under it, if the fire is not yet extinguished, fill it again. Do not walk away from a flooded fire while smoke or steam is coming from it. Prepare the water for pouring the fire in advance;
- do not throw smoldering matches or cigarettes, do not use various pyrotechnic products in the forest: firecrackers, sparklers, candles, etc.;
- in any case, do not leave children unattended by adults, especially if you are near water!
