How to achieve green growth in Kazakhstan

The implementation of the National Action Plan to promote the Green Bridge Partnership Program for 2021-2024 was discussed at a meeting at the Ministry of Ecology with the support of the NPJC "International Center for Green Technologies and Investment Projects".

About 30 representatives of central and local executive bodies, state organizations that are executors of the plan or co-executors took part in the event in an online format.

It is worth noting that the plan includes 28 points and consists of four sections:

- research, science and education;

- technology, commercialization and green financing;

- organizational and legal issues for the promotion of PPZM;

- information promotion.

The central authorities, akimats, state organizations, research institutes and higher educational institutions are co-executors of certain activities of the plan.

During this meeting, emphasis was placed on the role of the plan in achieving the goals of the environmental and climate agenda of our country, the compliance of the measures with the strategic objectives set by the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan K.K. Tokayev, as well as the importance of its practical implementation.

The participants also discussed the progress of the activities for the current month and the current problems of its implementation.

As a result of the meeting, an understanding was reached of the need to strengthen cooperation and coordination of efforts of all interested parties and information promotion of the plan.
