Minister of Ecology The Roadmap must be executed within the specified time frame

On the first day of his working visit to Atyrau region to inspect the implementation of the "Roadmap" for solving urgent environmental problems in the region for 2020-2024, Minister of Ecology S.Brekeshev began by visiting a number of production facilities: the Baksai Canal, a self-emptying oil well in the village ofTandai Makhambetskiy district, landfill in Atyrau, the object of construction of the sorting complex LLP "Green City Cleaning", new KOS, recultivation of the evaporation field "Rotten beam" Atyrau, the object of LLP "ANPZ".

As it is known, untreated sewage from the "Rotten Beam" sump pollutes groundwater, soil and atmospheric air. To solve this problem during the visit, the Minister paid special attention to the construction of sewage treatment plants (CBS) in the left-bank part of Atyrau, which are designed to improve the ecological situation of the city.

In this regard, S. Brekeshev instructed to complete the reclamation of the evaporation field "Rotten Beam" according to the deadline specified in the Roadmap for the comprehensive solution of environmental problems of the Atyrau region.

Then S. Brekeshev got acquainted with the construction process of the Atyrau waste sorting complex, which will be engaged in the collection, transportation, sorting and processing of solid waste. The commissioning of the facility is planned for the period specified in the Roadmap in 2022. It is worth noting that this work is carried out in accordance with the Concept of "Green Economy", where recycling and recycling of waste is one of the effective tools for improving the environmental situation.

Following the visit, the Head of the Department gave instructions for the timely execution of the Roadmap, as well as for the near future to plan specific measures aimed at reducing emissions of pollutants into the atmosphere, providing for the installation of catalysts, filters and other BAT in accordance with the new Environmental Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
