An innovative telemedicine installation has been launched in the institution of the UIS of North Kazakhstan Region

The head of the regional Department, Colonel of Justice Murat Nakenov, Deputy Prosecutor of the North Kazakhstan region Dauren Yerzhanov, as well as the head of the KSU "UZ Akimat of the North Kazakhstan region" Kanysh Bizhanov visited the "Institution No.51" of the Department of Civil Protection of the North Kazakhstan region.

The purpose of the visit to the institution is to familiarize with the medical part and conditions for the provision of medical services to convicts serving sentences. In addition, the guests got acquainted with the work of innovative French equipment, namely the telemedicine installation "Limstar" installed in the medical part of the institution.

Telemedicine is the remote provision of consulting and medical services using modern solutions, as well as telecommunications technologies. It is remote interaction that will allow medical workers not only to examine convicts outside the office, but also to prescribe treatment.

"Thanks to this technology, it is planned to minimize the number of exports of convicts to medical institutions. Since institution No. 51 is located in a place remote from large settlements, such equipment will allow solving many problematic issues related to the provision of medical care to convicts. At the moment, our institution is one of the first in the republic to install and launch telemedicine",- said the senior sanitary doctor of the Department, Captain of Justice Torgyn Abileva.

In addition to the main equipment, the complex is equipped with a Dermlite dermatoscope for skin examination, a Butterfly ultrasound scanner for spot ultrasound, an ECG, a hand-held camera, an otoscope and a stethoscope.

The management of the institution, together with the KGP at the Ayyrtau District Hospital, has already worked out the issue of remote counseling of sick people in conditions of deprivation of liberty.

At the end of the visit, the leaders received convicts on personal issues.
