The best squad leader and psychologist were chosen in the North Kazakhstan region

The Department of the Penal Enforcement System in the North Kazakhstan region held a competition for the titles of "The best head of the detachment", "The best penitentiary psychologist" and "The best department of educational and socio-psychological work with convicts" with the participation of 5 psychologists and 5 heads of the detachment representing subordinate institutions No. 48, 50, 51, 52 and 66.

For the first time, such a republican competition was held in 2018 on the initiative of the UIS Committee in Astana, then in 2019 in the assembly hall of Institution No. 50 and in 2022 on the basis of the Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan named after Shrakbek Kabylbayev. It is worth noting that for all 3 years, representatives of the North Kazakhstan region turned out to be the best, taking 1st place.

Veterans of the penal enforcement system, senior teachers of the Department of Pedagogy and Psychology of the NAO "North Kazakhstan M.Kozybaev University" Komkina Tatyana Mikhailovna and Gumel Elena Borisovna, as well as about 30 students from the Department of Pedagogy and Psychology as guests.

The annual professional competition consisted of 5 stages:

- greetings;

-video clip;

-medical training/ solving a situational problem;

-professional training and documentation/ psychological workshop;

- organizational skills.

At each stage, certain qualities were evaluated. When summing up the results of the competition, the jury took into account professionalism, literacy, appearance, speed of decision-making and correctness of answers, accuracy, self-discipline, sociability, organization, will to win and creativity.

According to the decision of the jury members, the prize nominations were distributed as follows:

The best prison psychologist — Daniyar Shungulshin, “Institution No. 66”;

The best squad leader is Dinara Achetyrova, “Institution No. 50”;

The best department of educational and socio-psychological work with convicts —“Institution No. 48”.

At the end of the competition, the Deputy head of the Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for North Kazakhstan Region, Colonel of Justice Kanat Suleimenov, personally congratulated the winners and presented them with well-deserved cups. A demonstration tour of the territory of institution No. 50 was held for the guests of the event.
