More than 160 arrested and suspected persons have cast their votes

Early elections of deputies of the Majilis of the Parliament and maslikhats of the Republic of Kazakhstan were held in the pre-trial detention center of the city of Petropavlovsk at the closed precinct №656.
In accordance with the Constitutional Law № 2464 of September 28, 1995 "On Elections in the Republic of Kazakhstan", adult citizens of the Republic of Kazakhstan held in pre-trial detention facilities, whose sentence has not entered into force, have universal active suffrage.
A total of 165 suspects, accused, convicted persons whose sentences have not entered into legal force and persons under investigation and arrested at Institution No. 66 who have the right to vote were given the opportunity to take part in the voting.
The polling station located on the territory of the institution began its work at 7 am with the performance of the anthem of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The management and staff of the institution have fully organized logistical support, created the necessary conditions for the physical accessibility of the polling station for voters and provided appropriate supervision, the preparation of voter lists and their documentation. Also, all the necessary information about the candidates and the rules during the voting was posted on the stands.
