An excursion to the male colony of the North Kazakhstan Region was held for deputies and party representatives

The main purpose of this event is to show the conditions in which employees work, convicts are held and to assess the state of the colony. The excursion was attended by deputies of the regional and city maslikhats, as well as representatives of the "AMANAT", "Auyl", "AK ZHOL" and "National Social Democratic Parties".
The visitors were shown the disciplinary isolation cells, medical unit, quarantine, canteen, bathhouse, residential and industrial zones, as well as the staff room.
The deputies were given the opportunity to talk to the prisoners. When asked about the conditions of detention, the offenders replied that they were satisfied with everything, but they regretted what they had done. Terminals are installed on the territory of the colony, through which for complaints and appeals of convicts.
"In principle, I can say that the conditions of detention are in a satisfactory condition. The convicts are provided with medical assistance, there are all the rooms necessary for living in which it is very warm, despite the weather, the food in the dining room also meets all standards. The only disadvantage is the weak material support. Most of the buildings were built many years ago, and in addition to cosmetic repairs, it would be worth making larger changes here. We also noticed that the squad units have quite old beds and curbstones. I think it's high time to replace them, given that employed convicts are good with wood and metal. There is a problem of employment. The average salary is 60-80 thousand tenge, but only 30 percent of the total number of convicts work here. All because of the small number of individual initiatives. Colonies are ready to provide empty premises for the placement of their production facilities. Entrepreneurs should only pay for utilities. Again, all of the above is a consequence of the weak material support of the penal enforcement system," one of the guests notes.
At the end of the event, the participants of the excursion expressed their gratitude and noted that they were ready to support further cooperation.
