A beauty contest among convicted women was held in the colony of North Kazakhstan Region. Every year in the women's colony of the city of Petropavlovsk there is a contest among female convicts “Miss Beauty”. On the eve of the celebration of the International Women's Day, the institution of the ES-164/6 Department of the UIS for North Kazakhstan Region held an unusual contest called "Miss Pampushka”, in which seven contestants took part. As a rule, slender, tall models have always been the standard of beauty, in the same year the educational apparatus of the institution decided to show the femininity and refinement of magnificent forms.
The convicts were pleasantly surprised by the passage of such an event and were happy to make festive costumes with their own hands for a month, thinking about how to surprise the jury beautifully and creatively. Women were happy to present their creative performances, fought hard for the unusual and creative title of the institution.
The competition consisted of several stages, the first was a "performance" in which women had to present themselves beautifully and creatively, then a "fashion show" showing prepared images and costumes sewn with their own hands, a "trick question" revealing the intelligence of convicts, "homework" in which women showed their acting skills and the highlight of the whole event was a surprise contest "eating eclairs”, where the contestants had to quickly, but at the same time beautifully overtake each other in eating sweets.
The contestants were satisfied and received a surge of positive emotions. The first place was awarded to the participant of the second squad with the title “Miss Pampushka” Olesya Smolnikova, the second place "Burning Woman" Aliya Daurenbekova and the third place and the nomination "Poet's Dream” was awarded to Tatiana Vasenina. The purpose of this event is to develop moral and aesthetic education among convicts, instilling a standard of femininity not only for standard models, but also models in the style of +size.

- The feeling is pleasant. I didn't expect to win. From the very beginning, I didn't even think about taking part. Other convicted women told me“ "Why don't you go take part? You can do it. We will help you”" It gave me strength and hope. Today I felt the frenzied energy of the hall. I was supported, clapped, danced to my songs with me. There was excitement and stage fright, after all, this is the first time I participate in such a competition. I had an interesting costume. They helped me with the squad, the three of us sewed it in a week, it took about 200 packages. I designed this dress myself. The mood is wonderful, everyone came up and congratulated me on my victory, – the winner of the contest Olesya Smolnikova.
- Emotions overwhelm me. I am very happy with the 3rd place. In the "homework” competition I showed the Prayer dance. We lit candles on the stage. Everything was very beautiful. When I went backstage, the convicted women who were standing behind the stage said that everyone was very excited by this dance. This is exactly the reaction I was waiting for. Through this dance, I turned to God. I wanted to show all the suffering of my soul, about the separation from my daughter. I really miss her. When I was dancing, I was thinking about her. At the end of the dance, when I was holding a candle, emotions overwhelmed me so much that a tear rolled down by itself, – convicted Tatiana Vasenina.
