Tried to give a bribe

The Department of the Probation service of Petropavlovsk of the Department of Criminal Justice for the North Kazakhstan region received an order from the Petropavlovsk City Court of the North Kazakhstan region on the execution of the sentence that entered into force against the convicted "K".

When registering, the convicted person was familiarized with the conditions and procedure for serving a sentence in the form of community service, the duties assigned to him by the court and the consequences of not fulfilling them.

Warned of liability in case of evasion from performing public works. Convict "K" was convicted by the Petropavlovsk City Court under Article 296 part 2 (Illegal manufacture, processing, acquisition, storage, transportation without the purpose of selling narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances, their analogues)The Criminal Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the form of 80 hours of community service.

Convicted "K" categorically refused to carry out the punishment imposed by the court in the form of community service.

So, by the end of the working day, at about 19.00 hours, convict "K" came to the OSP and, in order to evade the performance of public works and assist in this matter on the part of the probation service inspector, offered the latter a bribe.

 Since it was not the first time that convict "K" tried to solve his problem in this way, the OSP inspector conditionally agreed to his conditions and reported this fact to the own security group of the Department of the Criminal Justice System for the North Kazakhstan Region.

In the course of operational search activities by the employees of the DIS for the North Kazakhstan Region together with the SSB of the DIS for the North Kazakhstan Region and the USB DP of the North Kazakhstan Region in the office of the OSP G.In Petropavlovsk, a convicted "K" was detained for giving a bribe in the amount of 30,000 tenge to an inspector of the probation service for not engaging in serving a sentence of 80 hours of community service.

A criminal case has been opened on this fact on the grounds of the corpus delicti of Article 367 part 1 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan "Bribery". Currently, investigative actions are being carried out, convicted "K" faces punishment in the form of a fine in the amount of twenty to thirty times the amount of a bribe or imprisonment for up to five years.
