Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan "On the Victims Compensation Fund"

On January 10, 2018, the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan adopted the Law "On the Victims 'Compensation Fund", which defines the legal, economic, social and organizational bases aimed at ensuring the payment of compensation to victims for certain elements of criminal offenses. Compensation to victims from the Fund is carried out in the form of a one-time financial payment.
In order to implement the Law "On the Compensation Fund for Victims" , the Department of the Probation Service of Petropavlovsk of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the North Kazakhstan region, together with the regional chamber of Private Bailiffs of the North Kazakhstan region, is working to recover compulsory payments to the compensation fund for victims.
Registered with the OSP of the city ofSince the beginning of the year, 79 convicts have been held in the Petropavlovsk DUIS in the North Kazakhstan Region, who have a forced payment to the victims ' compensation fund according to the court verdict for a total of 3,975,915 tenge.
In 2021, 14 convicts were reimbursed for a forced payment to the victims ' compensation fund for a total of 684,380 tenge.
In total, the balance of the non-reimbursed compulsory payment to the compensation fund by 65 convicts totaling 2,998,225 tenge, of which 22 convicts currently pay partially the total amount of 917,310 tenge.
Preventive work is carried out with convicts who do not reimburse the forced payment: they are sent to the Employment Center to assist in employment, they are familiarized with vacancies for infrastructure projects, the requirements of Article 430 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan are explained.
