Group training work of the psychological service

Modern group therapy considers a person in the context of their relationships and interactions with others, while the group acts as a model of real life. There are certain advantages of group work compared to individual work. The group provides an opportunity to see the universality of problems, creates an optimistic corrective perspective, and includes altruism. It allows participants to share life experiences and ways to solve problems, use mutual support. Usually, groups for active psychological classes are made up on the principle of a single request that each participant is aware of. The main nerve of active group work is the feedback from the group to each participant of the training, which involves sincere and honest self-disclosure. To be effective, the group must:
Развивать Develop participants ' sense of belonging to the group;
Контролировать Control the behavior of group members by encouraging and punishing them;
Evaluate the reality and how the group members see themselves, other members, and the group as a whole;
Вызывать Evoke and release strong emotions;
обеспечить provide contrast for social comparison and feedback; such comparisons facilitate identity revision and offer new opportunities or alternatives.
Any training, no matter what tasks it may pursue, almost always begins with getting acquainted and working out the rules for the existence of the group. The rules of existence can be defined in different ways: you can simply hang them on a poster in front of the participants, you can offer options, start a joint selection of the most acceptable ones, etc.
In the psychological discharge room of the EU-164/3 DIS facility for the North Kazakhstan Region, psychologists organized a training for convicted persons. The main goal of the training is the development of communication skills, the ability to effectively interact with others, comprehension and correction of obstacles and difficulties that occur in the situation of interpersonal communication.
The convicts actively participated in this event, willingly expressing their own feelings and emotions, and worked well in groups. At the end of the lesson, positive feedback was received from the convicts.
