Penitentiary probation is an activity and a set of measures for the re-socialization of persons serving a sentence of deprivation of liberty in institutions of the penitentiary system. The purpose of probation is to assist in ensuring the safety of society by correcting the behavior and re-socialization of the convicted person, social adaptation and rehabilitation of a person released from an institution of the penitentiary system.
Resocialization of the convicted person is carried out from the moment of his arrival in the institution of the penal correction system in accordance with the requirements of the penal enforcement legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Since the society along with the legal and moral norms are, in companies UIS education is not only a socio-legal activity, but also moral, aimed at the formation of the convicts have moral and ethical installations. Of course, an important area is also labor education, which involves the formation of a convict's psychological readiness for work.
But in spite of all the measures taken, after a long stay in the prison released, it is usually difficult to adapt to life in freedom, as getting into a new environment, they face several challenges in different order: the social, psychological and physiological. This painful process takes a lot of time and effort.
Activities carried out within the framework of penitentiary and post-penitentiary probation contribute to a faster recovery of the convicted person in society. One of these events is the "Meeting at the Gate".
In the Institution of the EC-164/6 DUIS for the North Kazakhstan region, a convict was released on parole, who was met by employees of the probation service department of Petropavlovsk-Inspector Captain of Justice Gulzhan Bashenova, inspector-psychologist Dina Syzdykova, district inspector of the 1st police department Captain of police Olzhas Abdikarimov.
The staff conducted explanatory work with the convict, who was informed about the possibility of receiving social and legal assistance and psychological support during the penitentiary probation. The procedure for registration with the probation service and the procedure for conducting penitentiary probation were explained.
Of course, such events have a positive impact on convicts, since they have the opportunity to get all the necessary information for further successful re-socialization.
