The bioscanner was installed by the probation service department together with the regional Prosecutor's Office and the city akimat. The purpose is to prevent repeated criminal offenses by persons who are registered and to monitor the performance of the duties assigned to them by the law and the court. Currently, the probation service of the city of Petropavlovsk has 398 persons serving sentences without isolation from society. On a daily basis, personal data, residential address, contact phone numbers, and a fingerprint and face scanner are entered into the database for subsequent identification.
