In one of the colonies of the Karaganda region, the convict drew a portrait of the popular Kazakh singer Raimbek Baktygereev, better known by his stage name — RaiM and his wife singer Yerke Esmakhan.

"I really like Raim-a's songs, and even here in prison I continue to follow his work. After I found out in the news that Raim and Yerke Esmahan performed the "nikah" ceremony, I decided to draw their portrait, I want to send it to him by mail.", - said the convict.

The convict also said that since childhood he loves to draw, but he began to develop his creativity in the colony, since here he has more free time and has the opportunity to participate in various competitions that are held in the institution. It took him 3 days to write this picture, he drew with simple pencils.

The administration of institution No. 33 notes that drawing is one of the effective methods of developing the personality and creative potential of convicts. For such purposes, there is a section of applied arts and amateur performances on the territory of the institution, where you can not only improve yourself, but also transfer your skills to other convicts.
