A deputy of the Majilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan visited the institution of LA-155/18 DUIS in Almaty

On February 21, 2022, Deputy of the Majilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan Hamedov Abilfas Muslimovich, Head of the Department for the Development of Interethnic Relations of the Secretariat of the Assembly of Peoples of Kazakhstan of Almaty Balgimbayev Nazar Albanovich visited the institution LA-155/18 of the penal enforcement system in Almaty and got acquainted with the situation of prisoners. They had a personal conversation with prisoners in cells No. 32 and No. 33 of post No. 3, got acquainted with the conditions of detention and nutrition.
The purpose of the audit is to monitor the rights, freedoms and legitimate interests of detainees following the January event in the LA-155/18 facility, to check the quality of medical and sanitary services provided to them and the reliability of facts of torture that contradict the rights and freedoms of prisoners, as well as to explain to suspects responsibility before the law.
The deputy of the Majilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan Hamedov Abilfas Muslimovich and the representative of the APK Balgimbayev Nazar Albanovich, who arrived at the detention center, together with the head of the Department of the Criminal Investigation Department for Almaty, Colonel of Justice Kanatbekov D. and the head of the institution, Lieutenant Colonel of Justice Zhumadiev A., head of the Prosecutor's Office of Almaty Omarov A., got acquainted with the progress of compliance with the rule of law in the detention center.
