Providing social and legal assistance

680 convicts are registered with the Probation Service of Alatau District of Almaty. Among them,many are engaged in temporary construction, and some work with unstable incomes. "In this regard, recently, probation workers of Alatau district sent a letter to the state enterprise" "Atameken "" on assistance in providing permanent employment within the framework of the program of social and legal assistance to registered convicts."  The letter also noted that providing registered convicts with permanent employment is the only opportunity to prevent them from committing repeated crimes.
