FOOTBALL FIELD OPENED IN CHILDREN'S COLONY

Representatives of the Almaty marathon project have equipped a football field for teenagers in a children's colony in Almaty.  

The main goal of the Almaty marathon project is the development of children's sports. We have built sports fields, climbing walls, water areas, touch rooms and many other sports facilities in various children's institutions. And in the children's colony, our goal is to equip a modern football field – to create as many conditions as possible for convicted teenagers to play football. In the future, if there is a famous football player among them, then there is no doubt,-says Saltanat Kazybayeva, executive director of the public fund "courage to be the first" within the framework of the Almaty marathon project. 

The presentation of the field was attended by the head of the Department of DUIs in Almaty, Colonel of Justice D. Kanatbekov, head of the Department of Sports of Almaty R. Baiseitov, as well as veterans of Kazakhstan football. Among the veteran football players is the champion of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the player of the national team Bolat Esmagambetov.

"I think that the involvement of punished teenagers in active life will contribute to their future recovery and return to society as normal citizens. Also, sports not only strengthen children, but also provide them with psychological and emotional support. And such support is very important for children in bars,- said the head of the Sports Department of Almaty, Rustem Salimovich Baiseitov, speaking at the presentation.

Institution la-155/6 is the only colony in the Republic where convicted teenagers serve their sentences. Now 56 children who have committed serious crimes are serving their sentences here. In order to help restore the football field in this institution, we asked for help from various organizations. Today, thanks to the Sports Department of Almaty and the corporate fund "courage to be the first", the dream of punished teenagers has come true. I would like to thank you for your support," said the head of the DUIs in Almaty, Colonel of Justice Kanatbekov Darkhan Tursynovich.

According to statistics, children who have served their sentences do not return to places of deprivation of liberty. The only positive effect on this is the conditions created in the children's colony for all – round education of teenagers, mastering modern professions.
