CONVICTS TOOK PART IN CHESS COMPETITIONS

The Department of UIs of Almaty organized an online chess tournament among subordinate institutions of the Department. In total, 6 players from 2 convicts from each institution took part in the fight on the square board. To conduct the game, each player was provided with a device connected to the internet. Berik Akkozov, the founder of the International Chess School Abchess school, helped to hold the online chess tournament, which was organized for the first time, and he explained the conditions of the game to all participants through ZOOM and wished them success.

The first place in the chess tournament was taken by Yegor from the institution la-155/13, and the second place was taken by Zhanarbek from this institution. The third place was won by a player named Madiyar from the LA-155/18 institution.

The winners were awarded with medals and diplomas of the abchess School of professional chess.

In the near future, the winners of the city tournament will take part in the Republican Online Tournament held by the committee of the Penal correction system. Today, the players who will defend the honor of the DUIs in Almaty at the Republican competition are actively preparing.
