A teleconference involving students and convicts was held at K. Zhubanov University, aimed at preventing juvenile delinquency, promoting legal awareness, and strengthening the values of law-abiding behavior.
More than 600 students took part in the event.
The meeting was held in the format of an open dialogue. The convicts shared personal stories, spoke about the reasons that led them to commit crimes, the consequences of their decisions, as well as their journey toward rethinking life priorities and returning to a law-abiding way of life.
During the meeting, students had the opportunity to ask questions of interest, discuss personal responsibility for unlawful actions, and hear real-life examples of the consequences that mistakes and reckless decisions can bring.
Special attention was given to the issues of resocialization of convicts, the importance of education, and the role of support from society and government institutions in the process of their social adaptation.
Such events contribute to fostering a strong rejection of criminal behavior among young people, increasing the level of legal awareness, and strengthening cooperation between penal correction institutions and educational organizations in the region.
