They tried to transfer marijuana to the territory of the maximum security institution in Kostanay region

The transfer attempt was stopped by the colony staff. After the failure, the citizens tried to escape, but the staff of the institution managed to detain them.

-During the inspection, the object found by the staff was removed from the territory, during unpacking it was found: 2 chargers, 2 cell phones, headphones and a SIM card. The second bundle contained substances of green color, in the amount of 10 pieces. During the examination, it was found out that it was marijuana," the department explained.

It is worth noting that for this administrative offense, liability is provided under Part 1 of Article 481 of the Administrative Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan, that is, the transfer hidden from inspection or an attempt to transfer in any way to persons held in institutions of the penal system, special institutions, alcoholic beverages, medicinal and other substances with intoxicating effects, money, food, products and other items prohibited for storage and use in these institutions, entails a warning or a fine in the amount of 10 MCI with confiscation of the item, who was the instrument or subject of an administrative offense, and in the case of the transfer of substances similar to narcotic drugs, they may be brought to criminal responsibility provided for by the relevant part of Article 297 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
