A round table on the topic "Religion and extremism, ways and methods of countering religious extremism in places of detention" was held in the "Black Golden Eagle".

The event was attended by: acting head of the institution, Major of Justice Akhmetov A.A., chief imam of the Kostanay regional mosque named after "Maral-Ishan" Tazhimbget Bakhytbek Nurgabyluly, chief imam of the mosque named after "Yerzhan Tatishev" of the city of Zhitikary, Zhitikarinsky district Kabiyev Aibek Amonkosovich, teacher-methodologist of the Kostanay Academy named after him. Shrakbeka Kabylbayeva, police major Kabzhanova Sh.M., 1st year undergraduate lieutenant Colonel justici Medeev K.E., also heads of departments of the institution, employees of theological rehabilitation work and psychologists of the department of educational socio-psilogical rehabilitation work participated in this event.
During the round table, the topic of the role of religions in extremism, its place in the modern world and the main methods of countering extremism in the penal system was discussed. An important place was given to the issue of training specialists in the prevention and suppression of extreme activities in penal institutions, setting and solving tasks to ensure freedom of conscience and religion in places of deprivation of liberty.
The purpose of this event is awareness-raising and counter-propaganda work aimed at the formation of immunity to radical ideology with convicts held in an institution, prevention of religious extremism and terrorism, as well as improving religious literacy.
