In order to implement the Decree of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated December 8, 2016 No. 387 "On approval of a comprehensive strategy for the social rehabilitation of citizens released from prison and registered with the Probation Service in the Republic of Kazakhstan for 2017-2019" within the framework of the approved action plan for the implementation of this strategy in the RSU "Institution CC–161/1" The Department of the Criminal Justice System in Kostanay region held a traditional event "Meeting at the gate".
So, convicted K., for positive behavior, was released by commutation of punishment. In order to further resocialize, a "Meeting at the gate" was held with him (and other convicts who were to be released). Representatives of various structures were also invited to this event together with the administration of the institution.
- The task of the project participants is to provide social assistance to persons released from prison, namely, the provision of labor and household appliances, as well as psychological assistance that contributes to the adaptation of a citizen in a normal society, after temporary isolation. In addition to employment and rules of conduct, they advise on medical care, documentation," the department noted.
The convict's relatives welcomed the young man with joy and thanked the administration staff for their humanity and understanding.
