The head of the NGO "We are against torture" Elena Semenova once again visited the RSU "Institution of the Criminal Code-161/12" of the Committee of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan

In order to monitor the conditions of detention and prevent torture and ill-treatment, on May 03, 2022, the head of the public association "We are against Torture" Semenova Elena Aleksandrovna visited the "Institution of the Criminal Code-161/12" of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

During the tour of the cells of the regime buildings, the convicts were explained the norms of the penal enforcement legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan and warned about the prevention of violations of the established procedure for serving a sentence. In addition, a new draft of amendments and additions to the amendments to the penal enforcement legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan was brought, for the fact that I will be criminally liable for the storage and use of prohibited items, damage to property, intentional repeated harm to my health, in accordance with Article 428 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan. At the same time, all convicts were familiarized with the signature and warned about criminal liability 419 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan (false denunciation), 130 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan (slander) the following convicts filed complaints. During the round, 19 convicts were admitted, they were given explanatory answers to their questions.
