An attempt to smuggle a prohibited substance was prevented by the staff of the minimum security colony

The convict, having hidden the package in the cutout of his jacket pocket, tried to carry it into the territory of the institution when returning after an off-site working day. However, during the inspection by the staff of the security department, this fact was suppressed.
- After the conclusion of the expert of the Institute of Forensic Experts in the Kostanay region, the substance seized from convict B. turned out to be "dried marijuana", weighing 4.12 grams, - the department explained.
A criminal case was opened on this fact under Article 296 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan (Illegal handling of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances, their analogues without the purpose of sale).
