Explanation of permission for the operation of religious buildings (facilities)

As you know, according to the decision of the Interdepartmental Commission on Preventing the Emergence and Spread of Coronavirus Infection in the Republic of Kazakhstan, the activity of religious facilities resumes starting from August 31^st, 2020.

The main requirements for the functioning of religious buildings (structures) remain as follows: visits by believers to religious facilities on an individual basis, cancellation of collective events (Friday prayers, Sunday services, solemn liturgies, etc.), strict observance of the mask regime and social distancing between parishioners, regular cleaning and airing of the premises, obligatory availability of sanitizers, provision of free entry and exit for parishioners.

It should be noted that restrictions on collective events have been introduced due to the possible accumulation of a large number of people in closed and small premises, which increases the risk of infection of believers.

In this regard, it is necessary to treat with understanding the measures taken by the state aimed solely at ensuring the safety of citizens.

In the near future, an additional resolution of the Chief Sanitary Doctor of the country will be adopted with a more detailed explanation of the functioning of religious buildings (structures).

We believe that further improvement of the epidemiological situation of the spread of coronavirus will allow to remove existing restrictions and provide an opportunity to perform collective services.
