Supreme mufti met with residents of Kordai region

On February 14, the Сhairman of the Religious Administration of Kazakhstan Muslims, Supreme Mufti Nauryzbay kazy Taganuly, held a number of meetings during the visit to the Kordai district of Zhambyl region.

In particular, Supreme Mufti participated in the meeting of the Public Council presided by the akim of Zhambyl region Berdybek Saparbayev. During the meeting, topics of misunderstanding among the population in the Kordai conflict were touched upon.

The newly appointed akim of Zhambyl region Berdybek Saparbayev noted that he would continue to work in cooperation with religious officials, and also noted that Supreme Mufti, in turn, urges imams to work in this area. After the Council meeting, the village elders assured that they pay great attention to educating young people and maintaining mutual respect among residents.

Supreme Mufti talked with the people of Aukatti, Sortobe, and Masanchi villages, where the Dungans live, told them about the importance of maintaining peace, and urged them not to violate the unity of peoples.
