Askar Umarov took part in the London Global Conference on the Promotion of Religious Freedom

A separate meeting was organized for a number of key participants of the conference, including the head of the Kazakh delegation, at the residence of the British Prime Minister in Downing Street.

On behalf of the British Government, the participants of the meeting were welcomed by the Minister of Labor and Pensions Theresa Coffey, who is also responsible for issues of public development in the UK.

During the event, A.Umarov acquainted the heads of foreign delegations with the topics of the upcoming VII Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions in the capital of the Republic of Kazakhstan, highlighting the basic principles of the Kazakh model of interethnic and interfaith harmony.

Within the framework of the conference, the Head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan Askar Umarov held meetings with the Minister of State for South and Central Asia at the British Foreign Ministry, Lord Tariq Ahmad, High Representative of the UN Alliance of Civilizations and former Spanish Foreign Minister Miguel Moratinos, the first participant of the Congress of Leaders of World Religions from the UK, Lord Bishop of Leeds Nicholas Baines, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade With Peter Szijjarto and discussed the issues of the industry.

The Minister also met with the Chairman of the Caucasus Muslim Board, Sheikh-ul-Islam Allahshukur Pasha-Zadeh, the Spiritual Leader of the Anglican Church, Archbishop of Canterbury Justin Welby, the Special Representative of the Prime Minister of Great Britain on Freedom of Religion and Belief Fiona Bruce.

During the meetings, prospects for further cooperation were discussed, and Kazakhstan's efforts to ensure peaceful coexistence and interaction of followers of dozens of different faiths living in the country were noted.

During the meetings, the Minister of Information and Public of the Republic of Kazakhstan A.Umarov passed F.Bruce is officially invited to take part in the VII Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions in September in Nur-Sultan.
