Meeting with experts of the religious sphere of the South Kazakhstan region

Chairman of the Committee on Religious Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan Yerzhan Nukezhanov during his visit to Shymkent on March 15-16 this year met with the chief imam of the Sayram district of Turkestan region and the imams of the Shymkent city representative office of the SAMK, and also met with women returned to the country after the operation "Zhusan" and representatives of the Public Fund "Akniet", who are engaged in their rehabilitation.

 

During the meeting, the issues of applying new approaches to the implementation of priority areas of state policy in the religious sphere carried out in the region, state-confessional and interfaith relations and regulation of relations between various confessional groups were discussed.

 

During the exchange of views they discussed the implementation of measures in the field of religion in Shymkent and the implementation of the Comprehensive Plan for the Implementation of state Policy in the Religious Sphere of the Republic of Kazakhstan for 2021-2023. A number of topical issues that arose in the process of adaptation of rehabilitated citizens to social life were also voiced.

 

At the same time, a meeting was held with specialists of the Department of Religious Affairs and Centers for the Study of Religious Problems in Shymkent.
