The Minister took part in the scientific conference "Islam – the religion of solidarity and unity"

Today, at the invitation of the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of Kazakhstan, the Minister of Information and Social Development Askar Umarov took part in the republican scientific and practical conference "Islam – the religion of solidarity and unity" in an online format.

Akim of Almaty region Kanat Bozumbayev also participated in the conference.

The important role of Islam in the development of spiritual values was noted at the conference. Minister A. Umarov shared his opinion on a number of topical issues in the field of religion. Thus, the Minister voiced proposals on the activities of the Muftiate, including educational work among the believers of the country. In his speech, the Minister paid special attention to countering the spread of radical religious ideology in society, using the opportunities of social media platforms.

Following the conference, the parties expressed their readiness to continue close cooperation between the state and the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of Kazakhstan.
