On October 18, 2021, the N. Nazarbayev Center for the Development of Interfaith and Intercivilizational Dialogue, together with the Department on Religious Affairs of the akimat of Nur-Sultan, held an international conference dedicated to the Day of Spiritual Harmony on the topic "Strengthening interfaith and interethnic harmony in the face of modern challenges."

The conference was attended by deputies of the Mazhilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan, representatives of the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan, government agencies, international experts from the USA, Russia, India, Pakistan, Lebanon, Kyrgyzstan, as well as the first representatives of religious confessions of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The Committee on Religious Affairs was represented at the conference by Deputy Chairman Bakirov Bauyrzhan Zhalelovich

In his speech, he noted the important role of representatives of various religious associations, which make their contribution to strengthening the spiritual harmony and unity of the people of Kazakhstan.

It must be noted that the Day of Spiritual Harmony originates from the First World Congress of Spiritual Harmony, which was held on the initiative of Elbasy N. Nazarbayev in 1992 in Almaty.

The Congress participants adopted a manifesto, in which October 18 was declared the Day of Spiritual Harmony - a day of moratorium on conflicts and clashes, a day of seeking reconciliation, mercy and help to one's neighbor.
