Meeting with political adviser of the US Embassy in Kazakhstan Paul Yukich

On November 3, 2017, the Deputy Chairman of the Religious Affairs Committee Yerkin Ongarbayev met with the political adviser of the US Embassy in Kazakhstan, Paul Yukich. The American side was represented by Vera Partem, second secretary of the Political department of the US Embassy in Kazakhstan, and Aliya Zhantikina, assistant for political affairs of the US Embassy in Kazakhstan.

During the conversation, the parties discussed issues related to the draft law "on amendments and additions to certain legislative acts of the Republic of Kazakhstan on religious activities and religious associations" and the opening of an office in Kazakhstan of the international center for countering violent extremism «Hedaya».
