For the first time in an automated digital format
Operators of facilities of categories I and II are obliged to carry out industrial environmental control (hereinafter - PEC) in accordance with Article 182 of the Environmental Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan, as well as to form and submit periodic reports on the results of the PEC. In this regard, the authorized body has developed a "Unified Environmental Portal" for accepting these reports in electronic and digital format (as provided by the Rules). Now this Portal is being operated in pilot mode and, to date, it has received more than 300 reports.
Reports on the implementation of the PEC program are provided quarterly to the information system of the authorized body in the field of environmental protection until the first day of the second month for the reporting quarter.
It is important to note that the online format has a number of significant advantages. This form of reporting makes it possible to make a summary of analytical data on emissions, statistics on all submitted reports of industrial and environmental control and online monitoring of compliance with emission standards of enterprises available to the public.
In addition, the cancellation of the provision of data on paper eliminates corruption risks and makes the procedure for reviewing reports as transparent as possible.
Already today, positive feedback is being received from enterprises to the developers of the "Unified Environmental Portal".
