📍 New facts of pollution of the Kurchum River have been revealed
A few days ago, a video was distributed on the social network, which talks about the pollution of the Kurchum River in the East Kazakhstan region.
In this connection, the Department of Ecology in the East Kazakhstan region, together with employees of the local police department and the prosecutor's office, carried out an immediate visit to the event site.
During the inspection of the Kurchum riverbed towards the village of Maraldy, the fact of contamination of the river at the place where the Kiynsu River flows into it (approximately 12-15 km from the village of Maraldy) was recorded, while the water of the Kurchum River above the place where the Kiynsu River flows into it is clean. In view of this, the task force conducted an inspection of the place of exploration and production of precious metals by LLP "Maralihagold", located near the village of Maraldy.
The inspection showed that there is no water in 2-3 sedimentation tanks, which was previously used in ore enrichment. According to the workers of "Maralikhagold" LLP who are there, the water used in the extraction was lowered into the "Vasilevsky" key on 14.10.2021. The water of Vasilievsky Key flows into the Bugul key, which flows into the Kiynsu River, and it in turn flows into the Kurchum River.
This fact is registered in the Register of information of the Department of Internal Affairs.
The collected material was sent to the Department of Ecology and the Irtysh Basin Inspection.
