📍MORE THAN 11 THOUSAND TONS OF GARBAGE WERE COLLECTED AS PART OF THE WORLD CAMPAIGN "WORLD CLEANUP DAY" 2021

On September 18, 2021, the World campaign "World CleanUp Day" 2021 was held in all regions of our country.

The event, organized by the Ministry of Ecology, Geology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Kazakhstan, was attended by more than 298 thousand people. The amount of garbage collected amounted to more than 11 thousand tons. 23 thousand hectares of the territory were removed and more than 16 thousand trees were planted.

This year, more than one thousand locations were identified throughout the country for cleaning. The main site in the city of Nur-Sultan was a site in the Almaty district along the Nura-Yesil canal.

The world campaign "World CleanUp Day" is aimed not only at collecting garbage, but also at sorting it and subsequent recycling. Two thousand tons of waste, including glass, plastic, rubber, paper, cardboard and metals, were transferred from the sorted garbage for recycling this year.

It is important to note that such actions serve as the best incentive for the further formation of an ecological culture among the population, a careful attitude to the environment and the education of respect for the nature of the native land among young people.
