Аs part of the celebration of the World Environment Day, the action "Birge Taza Kazakhstan"was held

On June 5, 2021, as part of the celebration of the World Environment Day, the action "Birge Taza Kazakhstan"was held. The event, organized by the Ministry of Ecology, Geology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Kazakhstan, was attended by more than 150 thousand people from all regions of the country. Among them are representatives of various enterprises, state bodies, the population, the public, as well as more than 25 thousand eco-activists and volunteers. By joint efforts, more than 37 thousand tons of garbage were collected in 492 locations of the republic.
In the capital, several sites were identified for the campaign. One of the main ones was the site in the Almaty district along the Nura-Yesil canal. About five thousand concerned residents of the city of Nur-Sultan came out for cleaning, collecting 540 tons of garbage for recycling.
For the first time, the campaign "Birge Taza Kazakhstan" was launched in 2019. Over the entire period of the event, more than 650 thousand residents of the country took part in it. In just three years, more than 400 thousand tons of waste were collected, which were transferred for disposal. In addition, two million trees were planted as part of the event.
It is symbolic that the professional holiday of ecologists is celebrated in the first days of summer not only in Kazakhstan, but also in Russia. In this regard, for the first time this year, a teleconference was held between Nur-Sultan and Orenburg. During the joint dialogue, views were exchanged on the global nature and necessity of such events. Our neighbors told us about the planned cleaning of the bank of the Ural River, which is also our common reservoir. Deputy Chairman of the Committee for Environmental Regulation and Control Yermek Umarov, in turn, expressed gratitude to all those present and colleagues from the Russian Federation for their openness and understanding that the state of the planet's ecology depends only on our common efforts.
It is important to note that such communication can become a good tradition in the future. After all, the main and common goal of such actions is to educate young people on a daily basis about ecological culture and respect for the environment.
