Reduce risks together.

Yesterday, the Committee for Environmental Regulation and Control held a meeting on combating corruption. The meeting was attended online by the heads of Departments and departments of ecology from all regions of Kazakhstan.

All heads of Departments and Departments of the Environment were instructed to conduct an internal analysis of corruption risks by the sixth of May this year.
According to the identified risks, during the meeting, penalties were recommended to be applied according to a single algorithm. It is also necessary to develop a system for the timely presentation of damages and the suppression of violations in the future.

The Chairman of the Committee, Zulfukhar Zholdasov, noted a number of omissions and inconsistencies that today take place in the Departments of Ecology in Kyzylorda, Zhambyl, Almaty and Kostanay, Karaganda, Kostanay, and Mangistau regions. So, for example, the Department of Ecology in the Aktobe region did not have a timely response to the repeated appeals of the residents of the village of Bestamak regarding the disposal of waste and the unbearable smell from a pig farm located near the village.

The Committee also approved a Roadmap for the implementation of the Department's recommendations, which was sent to the responsible persons. All comments and instructions are recorded and in case of their non-fulfillment, the responsibility will be borne by the management of the Environmental Departments.
