Environmental problem of Atyrau on the issue of "Rotten beam» it will be decided this summer

Chairman of the Committee for Environmental Regulation and Control Zulfukhar Zholdasov visited a complex of sewage treatment plants within the framework of a working trip to Atyrau.

As you know, the "Rotten Beam" evaporation field is one of the key problems of the Atyrau region. So the people called this area, located a few kilometers from the city outskirts because of the stench coming from there.

For several decades, industrial and household waste, as well as wastewater discharges, were discharged there by various enterprises and residents of the region. This led to the pollution of the atmospheric air with hydrogen sulfide.

The Akimat of the region has been working on the construction of a complex of sewage treatment plants for the left-bank part of the city for two years. The capacity of the complex is expected to be 70,000 cubic meters of wastewater per day.

Currently, the construction work of the sewage treatment plants is fully completed. Starting from March of this year, commissioning works will be carried out.

The complex will be put into operation this summer.

Let's hope that these drains will be completely cleaned and the environmental problem of Atyrau will be solved.
