In the Akmola region, ecoactivists demanded to inform the public about the ongoing measurements on LLP "Stepnogorskiy TPP" the agreement was reached

The Department of Ecology of the Akmola region for the purpose of professional control conducted an inspection of "Stepnogorskaya CHPP" LLP, located in Stepnogorsk, Akmola region.
The main activity of the enterprise is the production of electric and thermal energy, the operation of electric stations.
In the course of the audit, such violations as:
- the absence of a log of internal audits and the comparison of the results of the PEC with the conditions of the environmental permit;
- irregular storage of scrap metal at production sites;
- containers for temporary storage of production and consumption waste are not marked;
- the dust suppression system does not work in the car rolling shop.
According to the measurements, no excess of the maximum permissible emissions standards was detected.
The company was issued an order to eliminate the identified violations with the establishment of deadlines.
Following the results of the inspection, a reporting meeting was held in front of the population, which was attended by specialists of the Department of Ecology, eco-activists of Stepnogorsk and representatives of LLP. Eco-activists raised questions about the need to get acquainted with the results of the inspection measurements. It is also proposed to inform the public about these measurements on a quarterly basis.
